Job Title: Site Manager - Window Replacement Contract Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire Contract Type: Long-term Freelance (1 year minimum) About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join our client, a medium-sized main contractor. The role is to oversee a long-term window replacement contract for Stevenage Borough Council, spanning several locations across Stevenage. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the project, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will play a crucial role in managing both site operations and the relationship with the client, ensuring that safety and quality are never compromised. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage site operations across multiple locations in Stevenage, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and efficiently. Oversee the installation of windows in residential properties. Liaise with Stevenage Borough Council and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of issues. Manage and coordinate on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing according to schedule, quality standards, and health & safety regulations. Project reporting directly to the visiting contracts manager. Manage project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work. Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate will have experience of running their own sites. It is essential to have experience of working within the social housing sector for a main contractor.
