Salter Grange is working with one of the UK's fastest-growing Main Contractors seeking a Site Manager to join the team on a £40 M Residential project in West Sussex.

This dynamic contractor boasts a turnover of circa £500 Million and a healthy project pipeline consisting of commercial, residential, and hospitality projects. Project values range between £50m-£150m. This business prides itself on repeat client relationships based on high-performance models from previous projects.

Site Manager Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day activities on site, from 1st fix onwards, ensuring progress aligns with the project programme. Oversee and coordinate on-site teams, ensuring high levels of productivity and adherence to safety and quality standards. Liaise directly with clients, architects, and the MSBC team to ensure effective communication and project delivery. Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, project schedules, and health and safety documentation. Ensure efficient site operations using IT tools, including proficiency with Excel and project management software. Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and safety on site. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, including progress, risks, and any required adjustments to the programme.

Site Manager Requirements:

Ideally 3+ years of experience as a Site Manager, particularly on high-end residential projects. Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects within budget and on time. Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients, architects, and project teams effectively. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take the lead when required. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards. SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card), and First Aid certifications are essential. A carpenter-trade background is advantageous.
