To sustain and underpin our growth, we are investing over £35 million in our new 5-acre site, which includes state-of-the-art machinery and automated production lines, as we understand that our manufacturing and warehousing infrastructure is critical to our future success.

My client is looking for a motivational leader and manager to join their team as Site Operations Manager, where you will manage, lead, and coach their Manufacturing and Warehouse Teams. You will own, develop, and drive continuous improvement throughout our new manufacturing and warehouse facility to support the achievement of our commercial business goals and ambitions. Job Description The Site Operations Manager will be: Operationally responsible for their new, highly automated Production and Warehouse site, and taking it to full working efficiency Developing a culture which supports continuous improvement and lean management Setting, communicating, and driving the department vision Leading from the front, hands-on and nurturing a positive and open culture across your team Setting and agreeing individual and team SMART objectives Carrying out regular one-to-ones and team reviews Inspiring and motivating your team to achieve department performance against agreed key performance indicators, celebrating success Capacity planning Reporting to the Operations Director and presenting to key stakeholders Preparing annual budgets and proposing capital and operational expenditure Working collaboratively across our business The Successful Applicant The Site Operations Manager will bring: A minimum of 5 years' experience of working in an automated manufacturing production environment Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams Experience in successfully coaching and developing operations talent An understanding and experience of leading teams through transformational change Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate A strong desire to drive and implement change, with a willingness to challenge the status quo A positive mindset and be open to personal development and coaching A high level of self-motivation and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment Project management experience Knowledge of quality principles, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement, such as Kaizen, visual management, OEE, SMED, Six Sigma, Waste, and DMAIC IOSH/NEBOSH certificate A thorough understanding of manufacturing and warehousing principles and processes Come from a chemical, pharmaceutical, food, or beverage background (desirable) Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (desirable) A formal Leadership and Management qualification (desirable) Located within an hour of Burntwood, Staffordshire What's on Offer What they can offer the Site Operations Manager: Competitive salary of up to £80k depending on experience (open to a chat about salary expectations) Permanent contract of employment A varied and autonomous role with a financially stable market leader Companywide training programme to develop key skills 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Non-contributory private health care and critical illness cover Generous contributory pension scheme Life insurance at three times salary Employee assistance programme Staff purchase scheme - take home products for FREE If you are looking for a hands-on, varied, and exciting role, an opportunity to make a difference from day one and keen to develop your own skills in a career within a market-leading, rapidly growing business, I'd love to hear from you.
