Area Sales Manager (South/South-West) & Northern Region Job Purpose:

This is a field-based sales role focused on identifying new sales and hire opportunities. The role involves generating revenue and supporting business growth through proactive business development, account management of existing clients, and rekindling relationships with lapsed customers. Key Duties: Selling the company's range of high-quality hydraulic attachments. Targeting Main & Sub Contractors, Groundworkers. Manage sales and hire targets for the region. Organize and execute a structured work schedule involving face-to-face visits, phone calls, and virtual meetings. Cultivate relationships with existing and lapsed customers to maximize revenue. Identify and close new business opportunities. Provide exceptional customer service by understanding needs, managing orders, and offering advice. Work in collaboration with internal sales teams to develop regional strategies. Prepare and follow up on pricing inquiries and quotes. Take ownership of your sales performance and strive to meet/exceed targets and KPIs. Promote repair and parts services to customers and coordinate with the service team. Attend and represent the company at trade events and exhibitions. Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitor activity. Strong sales background (knowledge of the plant hire is advantageous but not essential). Experience targeting customer base. Customer-focused with excellent service skills. Effective communication, negotiation, and sales abilities. Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of managing pipelines. Tenacity and resilience, with the ability to handle rejection. Professional, flexible, and committed approach. Capable of working both independently and within a team. IT literate, with familiarity in CRM practices.
