CREM Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a global food manufacturing business to source a Quality Assurance Manager.

Reporting directly to the Head of Technical, you will quickly become an integral part of the leadership team onsite, building relationships and working closely with the Site Manager, Engineering Manager, Production Manager, and Technical Manager, in addition to being involved with group-wide strategic projects.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Quality Assurance Manager to ensure all products are safe and legal, made to the highest quality. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality policies and procedures to ensure a "right first time" approach is brought to the production environment. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential risks to quality, robust investigation, and implementing effective solutions both within the BAU operation and future projects.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the Technical Manager in ensuring the site meets the BRC Quality standards. Be prepared for and lead customer and regulatory audits. Take the lead on continuous improvement of the Quality and HACCP systems. Maintain the site Quality Manual revising to ensure compliance with all internal and external standards. Provide technical support to new client proposals including the NPD, Production, and Sales teams. Conduct Internal Audits on a regular basis in accordance with the Site Quality Manual. Liaising with existing clients on technical information and responding directly to all queries over quality while maintaining excellent working relationships. Ensuring all non-conformance (product and packaging) is isolated, investigated, and rejected to suppliers. Assist in staff training on the site. Deputise for the Head of Technical when required.

Qualifications: Proven experience (c. 5 years) in a quality management role or similar position within a regulated industrial or manufacturing environment (preferably food production). Demonstrable understanding of Quality and Food Safety requirements for the Food Industry (ISO, BRC). Strong knowledge of HACCP and Quality Systems. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly. Strong analytical and investigative skills with experience in conducting root cause analysis. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Ideally with a degree in Nutrition. Ideally with exposure to working with Major Multiple retailers.
