We're looking for a Quality Manager to join us at our Ross-on-Wye site.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining and controlling all aspects which maintain product quality and dealing with product quality deviations. The role, with additional support from the Technical Team function ensures that chemical, physical and microbiological due diligence is maintained across site in accordance to HACCP. The role also ensures that product standards are consistently met with respect to food safety and quality parameters. Audits are effectively coordinated and documentation is controlled in line with the accredited standards.
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
HACCP and HACCP system management
Product quality
Food Safety near-miss system and preventative action
QA Laboratory management including the analytical and microbiological testing of products
Analysing trends in microbiological results and acting upon these
Coordinating training requirements
Managing of customer complaint investigations and product quality failures
Monitoring site hygiene and housekeeping audits and driving improvement opportunities
Facilitating external audits with assistance from Quality Technologist and NPI and Quality Coordinator
Quality improvement activities
Assisting with process improvement activities
Non-conformance investigation and management
Ensuring a quality driven site outlook
Releasing of stock and authorizing concessions
Internal auditing schedule and adherence
Working in conjunction with the Group Technical Manager to provide long term improvement solutions

YOU WILL HAVE:
Scientific Degree level or equivalent
Intermediate HACCP essential (Advanced desirable)
Intermediate Food Safety essential (Advanced desirable)
Relevant quality experience in the soft drinks industry (essential)
Laboratory Management experience (essential)
Relevant technical positions in the soft drinks industry (essential)
Auditing experience and qualification
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Able to effectively motivate and manage teams
