Role description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with experience in the Monitoring & Observability domain. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in the East Midlands and work with cutting-edge APM tools like New Relic, Dynatrace, and more. Your role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing monitoring solutions to ensure operational excellence and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities: Engineer and implement robust monitoring and observability solutions for complex systems. Manage and optimize monitoring infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Utilize tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, Logz.io, and others to monitor application and system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to define and meet monitoring requirements. Leverage data and insights from monitoring tools to identify and resolve system issues proactively. Drive innovation in the monitoring space, exploring and adopting new technologies and practices. Ensure seamless integration of monitoring tools with cloud environments like AWS and version control systems like Git. Technical Skills Required: Hands-on experience with APM tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, or equivalent. Proficiency in Logz.io, AWS, and Git. Strong understanding of monitoring infrastructure, system reliability, and performance optimization. Experience with monitoring query languages like NRQL (nice to have). Knowledge of OpenTelemetry (OTel) and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform (nice to have).
