SITE SUPERVISOR - Highways and infrastructure contractor

We are working on behalf of a Hertforshire based Infra and section 278 works contractor to help track down and resource a Site Supervisor for their on-site operations team based out of the Tring office in Hertfordshire. With over 25 years' experience in highway and drainage works, our client offers more than your standard main contractor. Their professionally qualified engineers use their key expertise to deal with the multi-face complexities of Section 278 projects, ensuring all works are completed 'right first time' with projects signed off by the council and placed straight onto their maintenance period.
Your new role
Supervising highway construction works and reporting to the Group Engineering Manager to provide updates on progress.
Delivering multi-disciplined Section 278 Works ensuring all elements are completed to a high standard and to deadlines.
On-site supervision/management of the construction team and visitors for the entire duration of the Civil Engineering works.
Project managing multiple Civil Engineering projects.
Monitor the construction works to ensure all specifications are adhered to.
Assist the Engineering Team with the design drawings to ensure they are followed correctly.
Sub-contractor supervision including site inductions and site record reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have current relevant experience of overseeing highway works and supervising all disciplines onsite. However, there may be time where you are visiting between site and the office, ultimately providing a varied day-to-day balance.
