Are you a practical, resourceful, and hands-on individual ready to take on a vital role in a school environment? Due to high demand for Site Supervisors for our local schools in Wigan, we're looking for experienced and enthusiastic Site Supervisors to oversee the maintenance, safety, and smooth running of our school premises.

A Site Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and maintenance of school premises. With a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment, the Site Supervisor is essential to the day-to-day running of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Building Maintenance: Carry out minor repairs, routine checks, and ensure the school is well-maintained. Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure the school meets health and safety regulations. Security Management: Lock and unlock the premises, oversee security systems, and respond to alarms. Grounds and Premises Care: Ensure outdoor areas, pathways, and playgrounds are clean and hazard-free. Cleaning Oversight: Support and supervise cleaning staff to maintain high hygiene standards. Contractor Liaison: Oversee external contractors, ensuring work is completed to required standards. Event Preparation: Assist with setting up rooms and equipment for school events or activities. Energy Efficiency: Monitor utilities and recommend ways to reduce energy costs.

What we are looking for:

Knowledge of Health & Safety: Familiar with relevant regulations, including COSHH and risk assessments. Good Communication Skills: Comfortable working with staff, students, and external contractors. Physical Fitness: Capable of handling physically demanding tasks like lifting and moving equipment. Organizational Ability: Excellent time management and multitasking skills. Attention to Detail: Ensures high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Requirements:

An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this). Legal right to work in the UK. Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
