The Twenty One Group are recruiting for an experienced Site Supervisor / Manager with a mechanical or electrical background to work on a contract basis for 6 months in the Fife area. We have been advised there may be a permanent opportunity should that be of interest.

The site supervisor / manager will oversee the management of subcontractors from various trades and act as a liaison between the site and project teams. The role will involve daily contact with the client and end users, so good communication skills are essential.

Main Responsibilities

Co-ordinate mechanical, electrical, BMS and civil site works, acting as liaison between the on-site team and the project management team. Review drawings, works information packs and technical data for site, raising any relevant queries and ensuring resulting actions are carried out prior to commencement of the project where practical. Manage onsite safety and ensure all subcontractors are adhering to the relevant documents. Be responsible for onsite inductions and managing the issue of onsite permits. Organise the ordering of small value materials/consumables, liaising with the buying department. Check that works are being carried out to timescale and to the required standard/quality, reporting back to the site project team. Raise mechanical, electrical, BMS and civils issues identified through snagging or non-spec compliance. Ensure all issues as above are addressed and rectified before site personnel leave the site at the end of the project. Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder's appropriate skill set.

Experience/Skills

A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. Mechanical / electrical / construction based NC/HNC/MA/Degree or equivalent. Proven on-site experience. CSCS. SSSTS or SMSTS. First aid at work. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Viewpoint and 4p experience, not essential but advantageous. Experience using Microsoft products. Good technical background. Full UK Driving Licence. Basic disclosure Scotland required or can be applied for.
