Our client is a well respected small animal practice based in the beautiful town of Ilkley.
Due to their continued growth and the planned move to a brand new hospital premises (due Summer 2025), they are now looking for veterinary surgeons keen to develop their skills and support your area of interest. They actively encourage and support study towards further qualifications. Whether you’re still finding your feet or are more experienced, they’re looking for someone who loves being a vet and wants to join a super friendly welcoming team.
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll complement the existing team of 15 Vets, 15 RVNs and a whole team of great support staff. You will grow your knowledge as you work alongside many skilled & supportive certificate holders (including certificates in medicine, surgery, dermatology and ECC). The experienced team means that they can deal with surgical and medical cases in house allowing you to follow your own cases with clinical freedom and support.
They believe their patients deserve to have 24 hour care provided by the professionals their owners trust. This benefits you as the in-house OOH provision means you have continuity of cases (as well as some of those exciting emergencies). They understand however the effect on-call has on work life balance, so they have made this low impact and very flexible. The full-time vets currently work 4 day weeks (fixed day off) and 1 in 5 weekends. The client is open to applications from part time candidates or candidates who would like a consult only position.
Salary scale:
£38,000 – £62,000 depending on experience (advanced scale for certificate holders)
