Small Business Accounts Specialist

to join a well-established accountancy and business advisory firm based in

Shepperton, Surrey . This fully office-based role is perfect for an individual who enjoys working closely with small business clients, guiding them through their financial challenges and helping them thrive. Position Details: Hours:

Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Location:

Shepperton, Surrey, with occasional travel to the West Horsley branch Salary:

£30,000 – £34,000 (dependent on experience) Location & Transport Note: While Shepperton is not in a rural area, public transport options may be limited. Having a

valid driving licence and access to a car

would be highly beneficial, particularly for visits to the West Horsley branch. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of small business clients, delivering a full range of accounting and tax services tailored to their needs. Prepare and analyse monthly and quarterly management accounts and VAT returns, offering insights to support informed decision-making. Provide proactive advice to small business owners on financial best practices, planning strategies, and process improvements. Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Communicate regularly with clients, addressing queries, clarifying financial data, and fostering long-term trusting relationships. Contribute to practice growth by identifying opportunities, embracing new processes, and adopting emerging technologies. The Ideal Candidate: Qualifications:

Ideally part-qualified in AAT Level 4 or ACCA, or on track to complete these within six months. Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice, preferably working with small businesses. Tech Proficiency:

Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero and Sage; strong MS Excel skills. Communication & Organisation:

Excellent communication, organisational abilities, and close attention to detail. Client-Centric Approach:

Passionate about supporting small business clients, helping them understand their finances and guiding them towards sustainable growth. Professional Development:

A proactive attitude towards continuous learning, adapting to new challenges, and supporting the broader team’s success. Driving Licence:
