Role overview:
The Small Works Engineer (Electrician) will deliver work across Bristol/Kent/South. The role involves installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire safety equipment, emergency light, and smoke vent systems, in accordance with all current British & European Standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day installation, planned and reactive maintenance of contracts
Carry out remedial works as required
Install, replace, and add additional equipment
Support the development of apprentices
Act in a professional and diligent manner, considering the needs of the clients
Required Skills and Experience:
Demonstrable experience in a similar role
Level 3 Electrical Qualification, City & Guilds or equivalent
17th or 18th Edition Qualification (if not the 18th, SCF will fund this)
Experience and understanding of British & FIRAS standards is essential
Good understanding of the British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266
Driving Licence
Working Environment:
This is an operational site-based position and involves collaborating closely with the support service team while also engaging with our clients. Expect a dynamic and fast-paced work setting that combines on-site work with ongoing communication with office-based colleagues. The role requires proactive interaction and liaison with clients/customers to ensure effective communication and first-class customer service.
Benefits:
Basic Salary £35k to £40k with opportunity for overtime and standby, leading to a realistic OTE of £50,000- £65,000
