What You’ll Do As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, we’ll ensure you have the best of everything you need to deliver the top-class service we’re aiming for. Sharing the same performance goals as you, our office team will support you so we’re always working as one team to give the best possible customer experience. You’ll also have the backing of Octopus Energy’s innovative tech power - so we’ll be able to constantly evolve and shift processes to ensure we’re always delivering our best service. This should help to keep admin to a minimum, allowing you to focus on what you do best. You’ll be just as happy talking to the customer and getting to know them as you are doing the installation itself. Day to day you can be fitting meters; showing customers how their meter and in-home display work; how it can help them save energy and answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading.

Who You Are We're looking for smart meter engineers with a proven track record of safety and customer excellence. You’ll be representing our brands in our customers’ homes; in many cases, the first face-to-face contact a customer has with Octopus Energy - so our expectations are high. People skills are important to us, and it would be pretty great if you had a flexible working approach too.

Some skills we need from you include:

Valid, in date, MOCoPA - at least 1ph WC Gas Safe – CCN1 - MET1 or CMA1 - MET1 (or equivalent) Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points Join us in the Octoverse! Basic £36,500 per year Overtime available (+ London weighting if living within M25) £2,500 annual performance bonus Share options in Octopus Energy Group £25 per week lunch allowance Training programme at our groundbreaking R&D centre Use of company tools Uniform and all PPE Company vehicle and fuel Support for personal development in Renewable Tech A fit bonus of £15 per metre after 6 metres!
