Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Firmware Engineer

to join our growing UK-based team. Working with cutting-edge technologies, you'll collaborate with international experts to advance space telecommunication payloads, instruments, and sensors for exploration and communication missions. Responsibilities:

Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop space telecommunication payloads and advanced sensors. Design, simulate, and implement digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for telecoms and sensing applications. Translate formal input requirements into firmware design concepts, from well-defined specifications to innovative, new concepts. Troubleshoot hardware and software challenges for space missions. Maintain and extend existing space communication products. Produce and document firmware requirements as needed. Ideal Qualifications:

University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Considerable commercial experience in signal processing design and implementation. Proficiency in designing and simulating multirate signal processing algorithms. Experience with C/C++ coding for SoC cores and/or vector processors. Expertise in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA or ASIC designs. Experience with modern AMD/Xilinx SoCs for implementing DSP algorithms is highly desirable. Familiarity with formal configuration control methods. Experience leading design teams and familiarity with 5G/LTE radio stacks is a plus. Knowledge of radiation mitigation design techniques for space hardware is a bonus. We’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in space.
