Location: Beaconsfield We have a truly fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Social Care Assistant to join our Seeleys Day Centre Service based in Beaconsfield. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can provide high quality direct care and support to residents within our day centre, focusing on personal wellbeing outcomes and individual wishes, to achieve strength-based support. Salary:

£23,365 - £26,247 pro rata. In addition, you’ll receive a ‘Golden Hello’ one off lump-sum payment of £1000 paid on successful completion of your probationary period (payment will be pro rata for part time hours) Working hours:

24 hours a week. Please note the service operates 24 hours/365 days a year. Working pattern will be discussed at interview. Contract Type:

We have day centres across Burnham, Aylesbury, Chesham, Beaconsfield and Buckingham with each centre offering short break day services to vulnerable adults and supporting them to live independent, full lives. Our day centres provide support and care to clients and their families so they can learn new skills, meet new people and develop their independence through a variety of activities. As a Social Care Assistant working within our day centre, you will be supporting adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities to provide them with personal care, feeding, employment support, domestic skills and activities such as arts and crafts, music and drama, and much more! No two days will be the same as you meet a variety of people and support their individual needs. Some of the work you will carry out include: Providing people with information and advice in relation to care and support and assistance in accessing care and support through various means. Ensuring an agreed plan meets individual’s care and support outcomes needs and to empower the individual to access early intervention and preventative services. Informing senior colleagues and adhering to safeguarding procedures of any concerns which arise in relation to the safety of vulnerable adults. Working in partnership with individuals, carers, service providers, voluntary sector and other professionals. Providing personal care for individuals, which may include but is not limited to dressing, toileting, washing and general housekeeping. About you

Naturally, you will be a great people person, able to deliver practical care and support to an agreed plan, within the community or as part of a CQC regulated function, using your own initiative to problem solve utilising remote management oversight, where required. This may involve undertaking a specialist role that requires specific training (e.g. autism services) or undertaking and administering personal care and/or medication. You may also hold a minimum Level 2 Care Certificate. On occasion, you may be required to work at our other day centres, so the ability to be flexible along with being able to travel is an essential requirement.
