We are the British Paralympic Association, known as ParalympicsGB. As the National Paralympic Committee for Great Britain, it is our responsibility to select, prepare, enter, fund, and manage the ParalympicsGB team at Summer and Winter Paralympic Games. Our mission includes driving positive, sustainable change for disabled people in UK society. Over the past two years, our efforts on social impact have grown as we have spent time listening to and learning from athletes, the disabled community, and the sport, education, and disability sectors. Our ambition is to use the positive power of the Paralympics and of Paralympic athletes to inspire a change in attitudes to disability and bring about equality for disabled people in sport, education, and society. Our approach is disabled-led. We offer a wide range of benefits including pension, cycle to work scheme, employee assistance programme, private healthcare, and a generous holiday entitlement. We are based in accessible, modern offices in the heart of London. We also have a ‘performance hub’ on campus at Loughborough University. We have a flexible approach to working patterns. Come and meet us, we’re great to work with. In a recent survey, when asked what was great about working at ParalympicsGB, staff said the following: “ There is a real sense of team and a real sense of pride throughout the organisation. People really work well together.” “Being part of an organisation with real impact and purpose, working alongside really kind and talented people.” “It’s a great environment to work in and you have the knowledge that you are making a difference.” Social impact is a critical aspect of our organisation’s 10-year strategy, with a clear strategy in place to deliver positive social change for disabled people. You will be joining the Social Impact Team at an exciting and busy time, as we scale up our initiatives to deliver on our social impact ambitions. You will be excited by this diverse role, supporting across a range of different social impact programmes and initiatives. You will be comfortable managing projects, liaising with athletes, leading stakeholder relationships, and supporting the organisation in capturing and documenting its impact. You’ll be someone who takes pride in working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, helping ParalympicsGB achieve its strategic goals. Our twin priorities as an elite sporting organisation with a commitment to social change create a fun, lively and professional organisation. You’ll be great at building relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, from athletes to agencies to charities. You’ll feel confident supporting colleagues on topics around disability inclusion and accessibility. You’ll be dependable in managing and reporting on projects and identifying innovative solutions. The successful candidate will be supported every step of the way on their journey with ParalympicsGB. We are committed to ‘a positive Team experience from start line to finish line and beyond…’ and are committed to helping all our staff develop their skills and reach their full potential.
