Job Overview The Social Media Executive/ Digital Content Creator will report in the Social Media Marketing Manager and support the day-to-day running of several social media accounts within the LKQ Euro Car Parts organisation. The role will focus on end-to-end management of organic social media for multiple accounts, which will include planning, content creation, post scheduling, account monitoring and performance reporting. It will involve working closely with colleagues in our B2C, B2B, Product and Communications teams plus external stakeholders to create a range of content including educational, product focused, trend related and events coverage. The role will require the frequent creation of video content to engage our audiences across Meta platforms and TikTok. Key Responsibilities Contributing to the strategy and planning on social media calendars, ensuring content is aligned to internal campaigns, events and broader trends. Collaborating with teams across the organisation to update the centralised content and event calendar on a monthly basis. Planning organic social media for Meta platforms, TikTok and LinkedIn for a variety of brands. Regularly creating engaging short-form mobile video and reels. Working with our internal creative studio, external agencies and freelancers to brief social media content. Creating engaging and channel specific copy for a range of brands and writing occasional blog posts. Scheduling organic social media posts and monitoring interactions on the post. Weekly reporting of organic performance, and optimisation of channel to increase performance metrics based on learnings from previous posts. Attending occasional events to generate live social media content and capturing media for future use. Staying on top of social media trends, industry news and changes in social media platforms to ensure that content is always platform specific and that trending content can be created while relevant. Working with other departments to ensure that content is branded correctly, and in keeping with wider campaigns. Planning our social media strategy for sponsorships, and contributing to the planning and management of activity with social media influencers. Skills And Experience A creative flair, which can be translated into creating strategic social media content for a variety of audiences. Previous experience planning, creating, scheduling, monitoring and reporting on organic social media content. Experience using Social Media Management Tools (Hootsuite or similar tools). A thorough understanding of best practice for organic social media and different platform algorithms. An understanding of social media performance metrics, analytics and reporting tools. Previous experience creating video content for TikTok and Instagram. Some knowledge and experience of video filming and editing (Premier Pro or similar software). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An ability to create compelling and informative written copy for social media post copy. Excellent time management and organisation skills.
