Description of Job

The Diocese of Guildford has an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Partner to join our new Youth Catalyst Project Team. The Social Media Partner role is to design and deliver the social media aspects of the Youth Catalyst Project which reaches and equips the emerging generation to find and follow Jesus.

The Youth Catalyst Project is a bold programme which seeks to enhance youth ministry by working with and in schools and churches across the Diocese of Guildford to double the amount of young people in faith by 2030.

As the Social Media Partner, you will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy to enhance our online presence, engage our community, and attract new followers. You will work closely with our Communications Team to produce and share compelling content that aligns with our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms.
  2. Create, curate, and manage engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
  3. Monitor social media for trends, opportunities, and engagement.
  4. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  1. Have proven experience in a Social Media or Communications role.
  2. Experience of developing Christian social media content.
  3. Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends from an organizational perspective.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software.
  6. Creative mindset with the ability to produce innovative content.
  7. Broad awareness of trends in youth culture with a passion for youth engagement and worship.

The successful candidate will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have their own vehicle as this position will require some travel around the diocese from time to time.
