We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Specialist to drive the growth of our social and digital channels in building engagement with our customers, awareness of our brands, and share of voice within the beauty landscape. This role will lead channel planning for our primary and secondary channels, define our content franchises, and continuously innovate to ensure MECCA’s social channels remain market leading. The Role You Could Play Working closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and the broader marketing channel teams, you will shape social strategies in line with our MECCA customer activity calendar and our brands and products unique positioning and business objectives. You will be responsible for creating unique communication plans for key MECCA activities, from store openings and brand launches, event activations and MPower moments. Your stakeholder management skills will be pivotal as you develop relationships across all functions of the business to ensure a seamless 360 customer experience. The main responsibilities include: Leading the development and execution of social marketing strategies for a portfolio of brands, in line with MECCA brand DNA Working closely with brand marketing to intrinsically understand brands and products, and translate that into engaging content for our channels Collaborating with MECCA marketing channels to amplify key marketing, business and trade messages – including but not limited to PR, influencer, digital, in-store, events, creative and design Preparing post activity reporting to share internally and with brand partners where relevant Ensuring social channels support brand growth, customer acquisition, drive sales and increase heart share with our community Assisting in the development of MECCA monthly campaigns to ensure alignment across social channels Partnering with trade, go-to market and brand marketing teams to ensure all digital marketing and social activity is supported by strong commercial targets in line with overarching brand and MECCA business objectives Linking social content and performance to trade and commercial results, tracking metrics, reporting back to stakeholders and using the data to inform decisions Representing digital marketing internally, being the ‘go to’ person for social, video and trends Creating social-first content and campaigns that connect with customers, drive brand fame, and distinguish MECCA from its competitors What You Will Bring Experience in planning and content creation across all major social media platforms Aligning social media campaigns with broader messaging, including product, single and multi-brand marketing strategies The ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Experience in executing brand plans or guidelines Skilled in mobile video filming, editing and content creation Data understanding, reporting and using metrics to inform strategic decisions Sound presentation skills and the ability to influence or inspire change Strong organisational and planning skills The ability to be adaptable and simplify the complex An unwavering commitment to continuous improvement, taking initiative and working both independently and efficiently Experience in, or a passion and understanding of, the beauty industry Your Life At MECCA Whilst we are singularly focused on our #CustomerFirst mantra, we know that wouldn’t be possible without an incredible team that is guided by our MECCA values and motivated each and every day to be solutions focused, innovative, collaborative and adaptable, and have a bit of fun along the way!
