Working as a locum Occupational Therapist provides opportunities for continuous professional development. Main duties of the Occupational Therapist: The area you cover/ volume of residents you support Havering Access Team is a front door (fast-paced) service which accepts and receives referrals on a daily basis. Manage urgent or immediate as well as short-term referrals, urgent manual handling and scheduled or unscheduled reviews of all equipment. Follow up on OT assessments and review equipment and/or recommend additional equipment. Complete daily visits. Assessments to be strengths-based - OT assessments, OT reviews, Mental Capacity assessments/carers assessments or other tasks as and when required. Requirements of the Occupational Therapist: Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy. Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist. Recent NHS experience. Registered with the HCPC. Knowledge of various legislations including: Care Act 2014, Equality legislations, Mental Health Act, safeguarding and making safeguarding personal, GDPR and Data Protection policies, health and safety act, risks assessment and clinical reasoning for equipment.
