Social Work Advanced Practitioner | Non Case Holding | Safeguarding/Disabilities

Rate: £40
Barnsley Children’s Services are seeking an advanced Social Work practitioner with a strong background in children with disabilities and safeguarding.
Experience supervising others is desirable. This will be a non-case holding role, whereby you will support the Designated Social Care Officer with rolling out training, co-productions with parents/carers, children & young people, the development of Social Care/SEND services, and the new Barnsley short breaks team.
This role is initially for a 6-month period.
Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:
DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
Social Work England registration
Enhanced and in date DBS certificate
Excellent communication skills and ability to make good decisions based on available information
Ability to work independently and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency setups
Possess knowledge of service needs
Competent IT skills and ability to navigate electronic file/recording systems
Ability to write clear, concise, and robust assessments/reports/files
Flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
