JOB ROLE
To assist Social Workers in assessing the needs of children, young people, and families in accordance with Legislation, Policy and Procedure.
To assist Social Workers in the implementation of Child Care Plans.
To undertake direct work with children and young people.
To facilitate supervised Family Time/contact arrangements, including driving duties.
To support parents, children, and young people in developing confidence and self-esteem.
To contribute to parenting programmes (individual and group work).
To maintain individual caseloads and provide reports and information as required, including giving evidence in Court.
CRITERIA Minimum of Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a care-related subject or an educational-related subject AND:
1 year's experience of working with families/children in a formal setting, where the work was regular
OR Level 2 qualification in a Care-related or an educational-related subject AND 2 years’ experience of working with families/children in a formal setting, where the work was regular
OR 4 years’ experience of working with families/children in a formal setting, where the work was regular
AND a driving licence and access to a car.
