Permanent About Croydon Council: Croydon Council is dedicated to providing exceptional support to children and families and is seeking experienced and passionate Social Workers to join its expanding Family Assessment Service. The Role: Social Workers in the Family Assessment Service will play a key role in supporting children and families through various assessments and interventions. This includes conducting Child and Family Assessments, collaborating with partner agencies to ensure children’s safety, and creating family plans that empower positive change. Social Workers will manage complex cases, ensuring high standards of practice while working on cases received from the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Child and Family Assessments and create family intervention plans. Undertake S47 Child Protection Enquiries. Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure safeguarding. Apply a systemic practice model focused on family strengths and protective factors. Ensure timely and effective delivery of assessments within expected frameworks. What Croydon Council is Looking For: Croydon is seeking qualified Social Workers who are registered with Social Work England and have completed their ASYE. Ideal candidates will have: Experience in building relationships with families to create positive change. Expertise in managing complex cases. Proficiency in conducting assessments and working directly with children and families. Strong engagement with partner agencies in safeguarding and service delivery.
