The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £46,116 per annum. Main duties: Respond flexibly, positively, and successfully to the ever-changing pressures and agendas faced by agencies working with children, young people, and their families. Understand the level and nature of the responsibilities accepted within the team, offering supervision and leadership to peers and less experienced professional staff. Undertake assessments of needs for children and their families. Conduct assessments in accordance with central government and local guidelines, preparing and implementing plans based on such assessments. Support children and their families to maintain a safe environment within the family network. Involve individuals, families, carers, groups, and communities in decision-making, offering choices and linking them to support groups and networks. Be accountable for practice regarding individuals, families, carers, groups, and communities. Assist individuals, families, carers, groups, and communities in representing their views in meetings affecting them and work effectively to improve services. Have knowledge of services relevant to individuals, families, carers, groups, and communities and how to access them. Work with children and their families to ensure reunification where appropriate after short-term separation. Support children who are looked after by this authority; formulate, prepare, and implement care plans in line with C.L.A. procedures. Prepare and present a range of reports, including reports for Court, Child Care Reviews, C.P. Conferences, and planning meetings. Requirements of this role: A Social Work Qualification or equivalent. Understanding of relevant legislation. Registered or eligible for registration. This post requires registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
