Who You Are

You are a dedicated and qualified social worker with a minimum of two years of experience in statutory Children’s Social Care services. You possess a SW Degree or equivalent and are registered with the Regulatory Council. Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the Children Act and related legislative frameworks, you are skilled in risk assessment and planning within complex situations. Your critical reflection and analysis skills enhance your professional judgment. You communicate confidently, working effectively in partnership within multi-agency environments. Your commitment to equality, diversity, and ongoing professional development is essential. Working within professional and ethical standards, you meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly to new procedures, using IT systems efficiently, including ICS.

What the Job Involves

The role involves operational delivery of Children’s Social Care services. You are responsible for managing a complex case load, safeguarding vulnerable children, and promoting their welfare. Your tasks include preparing court representations, producing high-quality assessments, care plans, and reports while overseeing expenditure on cases. You participate in multi-disciplinary forums, chair meetings, and undertake Achieving Best Evidence interviews. Working directly with children, families and overseeing student placements, you contribute to service development through identifying practice improvements and adhering to data protection regulations. You also engage in self-reflection and career development activities, supporting the professional growth of colleagues.
