Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for an experienced Social Worker within the Looked After Children Team to work full time based in Southend.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £40,890 per annum.

Main duties: To provide an efficient and cost-effective service to young people ensuring that their needs are professionally assessed. To ensure every young person has a professional and comprehensive Pathway Plan and Risk Assessment. To investigate, evaluate, and analyze information on cases, demonstrating clarity of assessment, reliability of information, evidence conclusions, and realistic pathway plans. Ensure adequate recording that evidences practice. To develop practice that takes a holistic view of the individual, considering both their immediate and extended social circles, and having full regard to their overall development needs. To be familiar with Equal Opportunities good practice and the Council requirements for diversity, implementing this in all aspects of working practice and promoting it within the team, workplace, and wider organization. To ensure that all case management complies with statutory requirements and the Council’s policies and procedures. To keep the Team Manager fully appraised of problems arising from workload and seek advice as necessary. To be meticulous in record-keeping and insightful in casework consultations. To use ICT as required to maintain accurate case records and report on key performance management data. To proactively liaise with and work in partnership with other agencies, organizations, parents, and carers. To attend reviews, various meetings, and court if required for each case, presenting the Council’s plans and opinions with professionalism and integrity. Requirements of this Social Worker job: A Social Work Qualification or equivalent. Understanding of relevant legislation. Continual professional development. Social Work England registered.
