A specialist engineering company in Manchester, renowned for delivering precise and cost-effective systems to the aerospace, automotive, defence, and motorsport sectors, is seeking a talented Software and Controls Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the engineering team to support existing projects and drive the development of new, cutting-edge solutions. Apply your software and electronic skills to build systems for major corporations across the UK and USA. Work closely with experienced engineers for mentorship and career progression.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Technical Proficiency:

Experience with modern high-level programming languages (e.g., Delphi). Knowledge of modern PLC hardware/software packages (e.g., Beckhoff, Rockwell, Siemens). Familiarity with servo motor and motion control is advantageous. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and documents (e.g., I/O schedules). Problem-Solving:

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities. Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with a wide range of stakeholders. Leadership Potential:

Demonstrated potential to grow into a management position. Domain Knowledge:

Understanding of the engineering lifecycle and business processes. Preferred Experience:

Development experience in Robotics, Motion Control Projects, Data Acquisition, Safety Systems, or Networking protocols.

The Salary on offer is up to £60,000 with a 20% Bonus, alongside a generous package.
