The Last Mile Flex mobile application is one of the fastest-growing strategic businesses within Amazon. As a Software Development Engineer within the Flex Mobile Foundations organization, you will contribute to the next generation mobile foundation to power fast, fluid, and interactive experiences on mobile devices worldwide.

Key job responsibilities As a key member of the Last Mile Delivery Technology team, you will be an innovator, playing a direct role in shaping and building products that partner teams rely on and customers love on top of Amazon's technology. A day in the life The team is a strong, close-knit group with a focus on learning, growing, and delivering results together. As the platform team, we build the backbone of the Amazon Flex App, supporting 12+ feature teams, hundreds of thousands of transporters, and millions of deliveries. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - 3+ years of application development experience on iOS - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent background in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and systems architecture. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Ideal candidate has experience with real-time communication and chat applications, globally distributed, utilizing AWS services. - 2+ years of design and implementation experience with Kotlin.
