Software Development Engineer II, Aurora Limitless Database

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. Looking to be part of a team building hyper-scale database services in the cloud? Do you want to revolutionize the way people manage vast volumes of data in the cloud where you have direct and immediate impact on hundreds of thousands of users who use AWS database services? Amazon Aurora is an exciting area of innovation for AWS, and the PostgreSQL-compatible edition of Amazon Aurora is built on top of one of the most active open source communities, PostgreSQL. The PostgreSQL-compatible version of Amazon Aurora is a relational database which offers enterprise-class performance, availability, and durability to our customers, along with the management benefits of RDS. Amazon Aurora is one of the fastest growing businesses within Amazon Web Services. Aurora Limitless Database takes the conventional Amazon Aurora further for scalability and high write throughput. Current data generation and data processing requires a database that can scale virtually to any limits and give a high write throughput. Limitless database exactly covers this aspect of the organization's needs with the obvious benefit of a pay-what-you-use model. If you are an engineer and interested in building hyper-scale distributed database services in the cloud, have direct and immediate impact on hundreds of thousands of users who are using AWS database services, come and join the exciting team. Amazon Aurora team is looking for an engineer to work and collaborate with other engineers, database engineers (DBEs), stakeholders and build high-quality distributed databases for the cloud. An ideal candidate for this position will be an engineer who has extensive experience working in relational database engine internals, experience with PostgreSQL development, and knowledge of distributed databases.
