AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. AWS OpenSearch team is looking for Software Development Engineers for its Bangalore team who can help build search technologies for customers of all sizes. If you have the skills to build large-scale and high-performance services, this is the job for you. As an AWS OpenSearch engineer you will:

Design, develop, and support a world-class OpenSearch platform that manages thousands of search domains. Contribute to both open source code and managed service platform. Work with senior engineers in the team to deliver many components of the entire stack. Focus on scalability, performance, service robustness, and cost trade-offs (especially as they pertain to a highly-virtualized, elastic, cloud-based environment). Apply scientific analysis and mathematical modelling techniques to predict, measure, and evaluate the consequences of designs and the ongoing success of our platform. Continuously drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize distributed systems and tools to best meet evolving business and market needs. Work alongside a dedicated operations team to develop and support the smooth 24x7 operation of our worldwide service. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
