About the Role We are seeking a talented **Software Engineer** to join our cross-functional team in Digital Technology Services (DTS) at Centrica. This core function provides engineering services across the company. Our teams are responsible for building, testing, and running their platforms in production. You will work closely with Product Owners to define roadmaps and play a key role in delivering new technology, enabling the growth of Centrica with your SaaS platforms. Key Responsibilities

Build and drive engineering solutions and best practices across Centrica's Integration platforms. Design, build, and manage end-to-end solutions across various platforms including AWS, Azure, and Salesforce. Utilize Typescript, Java, Python, and Azure, with services deployed to AWS. Host platforms on Serverless architectures or microservices on Kubernetes. Use SQL and NoSQL databases, Terraform for IaC, and Datadog for monitoring. Participate in innovation projects and hackathons with partners like AWS, Microsoft, and Datadog. Influence and define technical strategies and drive specialist areas like Security, SRE, and Quality. What We Need from You

Experience building Typescript Node.js backend applications. Experience with Serverless and Event Driven architectures on AWS. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools. Strong experience with API technologies. Knowledge of engineering best practices and continuous delivery. Passion for building quality software and delighting customers. Proactive in improving deployment, monitoring, alerting, and incident handling practices. Competencies

Willingness to continuously learn and improve. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work unsupervised. Approachable, passionate, and detail-oriented. Open-minded about using and discovering new tools and technologies. What We Offer
