To work hand-in-hand with the fulfilment and operations teams at Moonpig, ensuring every customer enjoys a seamless and delightful delivery experience – no small feat in a rapidly growing, ever-evolving market. Join a tight-knit team of four talented engineers based in the North West. We’re the driving force behind Moonpig’s designation, grouping, and delivery options services. We ensure every order reaches its destination in the most efficient, timely, and hassle-free manner possible. If you’re passionate about optimising processes and love tackling complex challenges, this is the place for you! What you'll be doing:

Delivering high-value improvements:

Support our global expansion, add new delivery services, optimise our current offerings, implement new features, and continuously enhance the customer delivery experience. Designing and delivering new features:

Create or update existing services, working with event-driven systems. Collaborating in a high-performing team:

Engage in team ceremonies, including Retrospectives, Stand-ups, Planning, and Socials, while continually adapting and seeking new ways to improve and deliver more effectively. Taking ownership:

Lead design sessions, manage deliverables, and communicate progress with relevant stakeholders. Driving continuous improvement:

Contribute to the team’s best practices by sharing ideas, participating in learning initiatives, and helping to elevate engineering practices across the business. Our expectations of our Software Engineers:

Thrive in a highly collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with other engineers. Are passionate about solving problems and improving processes. Focus on the customer, ensuring that your decisions are always aimed at serving them best. Are eager to learn new processes, techniques, and technologies. Have experience with AWS and C#. Possess a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Functional Programming principles. Have a good understanding of event-based architecture (a plus). Are familiar with React (a plus). Have knowledge of Extreme Programming best practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming (a plus). Our Tech Environment

Full-stack, cross-functional teams that collaborate closely across different specialisms. Services are primarily written in C#, with some React and UI using TypeScript for internal tooling. We leverage AWS (SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB) and Terraform to build robust, performant cloud/serverless applications. We focus on user experience and business growth, ensuring our applications are both reliable and efficient. We don’t expect you to have experience with all of the technologies above, so if your experience doesn't cover some areas but you have cloud/serverless experience, please apply. How we get there
