Gamma is a leading supplier of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS): we provide voice, data and mobile products and services to the UK, German, Spanish and Benelux business markets. Gamma is expanding its UCaaS presence in Europe with a family of businesses focusing on digital automation, delivering Gamma-powered services to SME customers via a network of channel partners in Germany, Spain, and the Benelux region. What will you be doing day-to-day?

As a Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Developing, improving, and expanding user interfaces, backend APIs, and underlying databases to enhance functionality and user experience. Leading technical design and code implementation efforts, including designing scalable and maintainable code structures. Conducting thorough code reviews and actively participating in Agile ceremonies to maintain high coding standards and facilitate team progress. Implementing automated testing and CI/CD processes to ensure code quality and efficient deployments. Collaborating closely with team members and stakeholders to drive project objectives, meet timelines, and adapt to evolving requirements. Engaging in personal and professional development to enhance skills and advance your career. Mentoring junior developers to help them grow and enhance their technical skills. What you’ll need

The ideal candidate will have: Proficiency in Java (Java 8 or later) and object-oriented programming (OOP). Experience with SQL (SQL Server). Experience designing and integrating with RESTful APIs. Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, for deploying and managing applications in cloud environments. Familiarity with source code version control systems (ideally Git). Experience in Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and test automation tooling (e.g., JUnit, Cucumber, Selenium). Experience with Java application frameworks such as Spring Boot. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. What do we offer?

This role will require travel to one of our office locations (Newbury) once or twice a week. Unfortunately, we can't offer visa sponsorship or relocation support for this role.
