SOFTWARE ENGINEER My client has over 35 years' experience in providing advanced test systems and facilities to the automotive industry. Their range includes e-motor, IC engine, power train, vehicle, and component testing. They design, develop, and manufacture their own products and support them globally with locations in UK, USA, China, India, and Malaysia. Their customers include Tier 1 Vehicle Manufacturers, Formula One Teams, University and Research Organisations, Marine builders and Heavy Plant Manufacturers. There are a wide variety of applications with a recent focus on electrification and hydrogen. They have opportunities for developers to join their team in the Software department. The roles cover core product and application software development. You'll be working in their new design and manufacturing facility located in Worcester with occasional site visits to deploy your developments. The work encompasses their in-house high-speed data acquisition and test automation system, EtherCAT protocols, real-time control, WINDOWS desktop, and automation application development. We are using technologies such as Microsoft.Net, XAML, WIN UI, UWP, microservices, gRPC, MVVM, and NoSQL databases. The role provides an opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary product development environment spanning Windows 10/11 desktop software, electronic hardware, embedded firmware, mechanical, fluidic, and electrical automation systems.
