Your Impact As a DevOps-oriented engineer on the team, you will make key design decisions to take our on-premise Evidence Management product to the next level. You’ll update, maintain, and modernize our CI/CD pipeline, collaborating closely with engineering and QA, driving increased quality, and making deployments more robust; leveraging existing tools and creating new ones to empower teams and enable them to continuously raise the bar for quality, speed, and reliability. Axon has led the global effort to protect life through electric weapons, body cameras, a number of real-time sensors, public safety software products, and AI tools. Axon is uniquely positioned to tie together every aspect of an incident in order to help law enforcement agencies better prepare for what might happen, respond efficiently and effectively, deliver justice, ensure the well-being of their officers, and increase the safety of their communities. Working together with our customers and product teams, you will build the foundation for Axon’s outcome-oriented data efforts. What You’ll Do

Location:

London, England

Architect, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure to support our software applications, in development and testing environments. Enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery. Act as a bridge between software development and operations teams, championing DevOps best practices, uncovering bottlenecks and improvements, and implementing solutions that increase engineer effectiveness. Collaborate closely with the development and Quality Assurance teams to integrate DevOps methodologies seamlessly, promoting incremental improvement and reducing development cycle times. Identify opportunities for process improvement, quality, and efficiency gains within the software development and deployment lifecycle, including improving existing deployment tools and adding automation. Implement solutions to optimize workflows and enhance overall system reliability. Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and software-related issues in collaboration with relevant teams. Leverage a strong Software Engineering background, particularly in .NET, to deeply understand the product and contribute to the development and enhancement of our applications and services. What You Bring

Strong software engineering skills (.Net experience preferred but not essential) (at least 3 years’ experience). Proficiency in Azure deployments, using IaC tools like Terraform. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Proven experience in introducing and/or improving DevOps practices and methodologies that measurably improve software quality and delivery. Experience improving software quality through implementing testing and automation processes and infrastructure. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI). Strong collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, especially across geographies. Clear and effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
