We are looking for a Level 0 Software Engineer to join Cold Banana for a placement-based degree or related work experience. At this level, the employee will need guidance and training from Level 1, 2 and 3 developers. They should always be working closely with their dedicated mentor and team leader until they have proven themselves capable of handling smaller tasks on their own, usually in the support/BAU capacity.

The Role

Produce clean, efficient, testable code based on specifications using .NET languages. Adhere to organisational policies, standards and best practices in application development, documentation and maintenance that support industry best practices and project approaches. Develop and maintain databases (SQL) and the data flow between software. Create web and app applications using modern technology stacks. Perform code review on peers. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software. Verify and deploy simple web architectures. Assist project manager in estimating durations for tasks, deliverables and activities. Attend training and education. Requirements

Hands-on experience with programming languages such as C#, C++, Javascript, Java, Python & PHP. Personal or professional experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS and SCSS). Familiarity with computing concepts and code theory. Familiarity with data structures and data theory. Aptitude with code authoring tools. Familiarity of GIT version control. Willingness to learn new languages and technologies. Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success. Ability to self-manage. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude. Additional

Experience with developing and consuming RESTful APIs. Practical knowledge of front end frameworks (preferably Vue or Angular). Experience with web technologies or CMS software. Mobile app design and development experience. Basic understanding of programming principles. Personal Qualities
