Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

About the Role: We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a team of highly skilled software engineers developing cutting-edge space computing platforms. This hands-on leadership role involves designing and implementing advanced embedded software systems while building a high-performing team.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading Linux-based systems software teams, strong technical expertise in embedded software development, and a background in telecommunications or satellite communication hardware projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of software for embedded systems across the full stack, from low-level drivers to high-level applications.
* Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software architecture, design, and performance standards.
* Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and technical decision-making.
* Ensure delivery of high-quality, robust software through best practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and TDD.
* Provide technical guidance and hands-on contributions to system design, debugging, and optimization.
* Engage with key stakeholders and leadership teams to align software development efforts with business goals.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in building, leading, and managing high-performing software engineering teams.
* Strong hands-on technical expertise in embedded software development, particularly Linux-based systems.
* Proficiency in C/C++, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and Linux user-space software stacks.
* Background in satellite communication, telecommunications, or related hardware development projects is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with tools like Yocto/Buildroot, scripting languages (Python, Bash), and version control systems (Git).
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on collaboration and delivering impactful solutions.
