Job Description

The Accounting costs and fees team sits within our Banking Core division which is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Avaloq software and products.

As a member of the team, you will be part of a collaborative group of Software Engineers and Business Analysts building high quality solutions to support our existing and new clients.

Following Agile methodologies, you will work closely with the Product Owner, Business Analysts and Software Engineers to design, develop, test and maintain functionality within the team’s responsibility.

Your tasks:

  • Line Manager of the European Accounting/COF Team
  • Reports to the Head of Banking Core EU within the regional CTO team 
  • L3 support of the application and modules in the responsibility of Accounting/COF of all European SaaS customers (excluding Switzerland and Liechtenstein)
  • Owns all related regional Avaloq customization solutions
  • Defines together with the Domain Scrum Master and the team the work model (agile vs. non-agile) for the team
  • Facilitates team meetings in order to meet the requirements of the customer, the Avaloq organization and if applicable the Agile setup
  • Provides technical teams for dedicated strategic projects, customers and squads in the region
  • Integrates external resources necessary to fill the positions/capacity required to fulfil its mission
  • Responsible for the capacity planning and the ramp up of the team
 

Qualifications

  • Strong evidencable  experience of working in a comparable role
  • Deep understanding of at least one Accounding standard, e.g. IFRS9, US-GaaP, local GaaP
  • At least B2 level of fluency in English and German
  • Master in Computer Science or Business and Economics or equivalent education
  • Be a highly motivated, proactive, committed and adaptable individual, with a “can do” approach

It would be a real bonus if you have: 

  • Finance related certification e.g. Certified Accountant
