ABOUT THE PRODUCT: OAG is in process of creating a new generation analytics web platform for its flagship analytics product. Flight information data will be made available to data analysts using cutting edge cloud technologies. The new platform focuses on creating a leading analytical tool allowing customers to calculate important metrics such as flight frequency, seat capacity, traffic demand and connecting flights. The system will be hosted in the Azure platform using RESTful APIs, Snowflake, CosmosDB, App Services and NextJS/React web technologies. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Leading and managing UK based software engineering team: 1:1, development plans, feedback Recruiting and developing high performing team members Acting as key team interface to internal stakeholders Driving innovation and continuous improvements Ensuring Continuous Delivery best practices are followed Ensuring the best coding practices are being applied Ensuring well-structured documentation is produced Applying Agile methodology to ensure efficient delivery of the project scope Sharing business domain and technical knowledge across the organization Owning overall product architecture and technical vision Contributing to overall OAG architecture and technical vision Hands-on contribution to product development activities Keeping up to date with relevant technologies and best practices IF YOU HAVE: Strong background in hands-on software engineering role (.net developer, QA Engineer) Strong interpersonal skills Solid experience with modern web interface technologies such as NextJS and React Solid experience with MS SQL, Snowflake or equivalent SQL database technology Solid experience in Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Practices Solid experience in applying appropriate automation testing tools and frameworks (Unit, Component, Integration, Feature tests) Experience with Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) like Terraform Experience in applying Agile methodologies (any of these: Scrum, Kanban, DSDM) Experience working with Azure Experience of running 1-2-1 meetings and yearly reviews with team members Knowledge of CosmosDB or another NoSQL database would be beneficial Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success Fluency in English (at least B2) WE WILL OFFER YOU: Work with people who are passionate about technology and business domain Modern office in a good location (UK – Luton) Flexible working arrangements, work remotely or from office Opportunity to travel to our other offices Ability to join an industry-leading international company Attractive compensation and benefits package including private health insurance and bonus scheme 25-day annual holiday Great growth and development opportunities “OAG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
