The Restrata Platform is a high load, distributed, real-time system running in complex, mixed cloud environments (AWS, Azure, on-prem). We are looking for a bright and experienced DevOps lead to join our team of engineers helping us build the next generation of our platform. Contributing to the development process, you will help generate delivery ideas and solutions whilst encompassing the full spectrum of design, coding, and testing. In addition, you will ensure successful delivery of key strategic objectives through the development of high-quality software. This role specialises in cloud-native technology-based solutions and has experience in delivering a wide range of IT solutions in demanding corporate environments, encompassing the ability to manage, motivate, and train successful teams. Key Responsibilities

Engage in DevOps projects, including the design and deployment of new software systems and services. Monitor performance of all systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure. Help define DevOps strategy, architecture, and processes for Restrata and all of our products. Lead the design of a scalable and modern infrastructure estate, supporting and communicating with our customers, engineer, and test community at Restrata, ensuring its continued smooth running and resilience. Help maximise the efficiency of the engineering and test community by ensuring the availability of necessary processes and environments. Provide first line technical support for all infrastructure-related issues using technical knowledge. Analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs. Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software. Ensure transparency and clarity by providing technical explanations in plain language. Support the service team to identify and add potential resolutions to the scripted FAQs. Be responsible for the cataloging of all server hardware, software, and credentials. Manage all hardware and software infrastructure across Restrata’s estate. Work with compliance stakeholders to ensure we are meeting and maintaining technical compliance standards, including ISO27001, ISO9001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and DSP Toolkit. Report on capacity levels and the state of infrastructure; escalate to the CTO when necessary. Provide emergency cover as part of an agreed rota. Be responsible for the performance and output within your team, and for escalating issues or concerns to the COO where required. Experience/Qualifications

Essential

Good knowledge of creating & managing continuous delivery pipelines enabling continuous integration using test-driven development with high coverage in a multi-tenant, full-stack Production enterprise cloud configuration where rolling intra-day upgrades are BAU, security & audit requirements are met by default. Python and shell programming skills with clear logical & practical use of innovative yet simple coding capability. Particularly good knowledge of the core AWS services in relation to their use case, integration with hybrid networking models, authentication, authorisation & best practices. Good knowledge of using Terraform. Very good practical working knowledge of all network layers & security controls possible in AWS/hybrid models. Skilled in container architecture, as we are not only shipping to AWS, but we have On-Prem and offline packaging and deployment architecture to work with as well. Behaviours and Qualities

Degree in Computer Science or related field preferable but not essential. (Desirable) AWS Cloud certification (sysops/solution architect) or equivalent. How to Apply:
