The applicant is accountable for software quality assurance of SIE's internal and customer-facing applications using manual and scripted testing techniques. Duties include solving problems and resolving test code defects, as well as working with test management, bug tracking, requirements management, reporting, and other tools. In the course of performing this function, the individual relies on their experience in software development, QA activities, system integration, manual and automated testing, frameworks, and associated organizational processes. The Software Developer Engineer in Test is a member of the Systems Integration End to End testing team, collaborating with various SIE team members. Responsibilities

Perform both “black box” and “gray box” testing by analyzing applications and requirements, crafting, and executing test cases. Integrate, support, use and maintain bug tracking systems such as JIRA, source control tools such as GitHub, and test case management applications such as qTest. Work with QA team members to troubleshoot test failures in the various test environments, including reviewing web server and application server logs. Required Qualifications

3+ years' proven experience in building and carrying out test plans and executing test cases. 2+ years’ experience automating test scripts in Typescript or similar. 1+ year end-to-end integration testing experience with multi-tier systems & applications. Experience with Postman, JSON, XML. Knowledge and experience testing APIs and microservices. Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Desired Skills

Experience using JIRA for bug tracking and Agile practices. Experience using test management tools like qTest for test planning and executions. Ability to work effectively with managers and engineers across different time zones towards a common goal. Experience and knowledge with unit testing. Experience with relational databases, composing and running SQL queries. Testing experience with AWS/Cloud platforms and tools. Experience testing on PS4, PS5, or other console-based client devices is a plus. About You
