An Amazing Career Opportunity for a Solutions QA Engineer!! Job ID: 31167 We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will have experience with Selenium, Cucumber BDD, and Java, and will be adept at integrating with ADO pipelines and GIT repositories. The qualified candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software through rigorous testing and effective test management practices. Who are we? As our Solutions QA Lead, you’ll support HID’s success by: Cucumber BDD Framework : Implement and maintain Cucumber BDD frameworks for automated test scripts. Selenium Tool : Utilize Selenium for automated testing. Postman Tool : Perform Postman API testing. Java Language : Apply basic Java skills (rated 5 out of 10) for test automation scripting. ADO Pipeline Integration : Integrate Selenium automation with ADO pipelines and manage code in GIT repositories. Performance Testing : Conduct performance testing using Jmeter (open-source performance testing tool). Issue Identification and Troubleshooting : Expertly identify, debug, and troubleshoot issues within the application. Complex Project Learning : Quickly learn and adapt to complex project requirements. Project Testing Expertise : Bring strong experience in US testing, hardware-software integration testing, and end-to-end (E2E) testing. Create test plans/scripts from use cases, user stories, functional specifications. Lead CAT testing with the customer. Test Life Cycle Management : Manage the entire test life cycle using test management tools such as ADO. Agile Methodologies : Apply knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum practices, in the testing process. Team Collaboration : Work effectively under pressure in a global collaborative team environment. Mentorship : Train and mentor new testers, ensuring knowledge transfer and team skill enhancement. Task Prioritization : Prioritize tasks effectively and stay up to date with the workload. Communication : Exhibit good communication skills and maintain a flexible and positive attitude. QA Documentation : Develop and maintain comprehensive QA documentation. Your Experience and Education include: Higher level education in software engineering or computer science, or have equivalent experience. Degree in Computer Science or related field desirable, but not essential. Requires a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a QA Automation Engineer role or similar. Proven capabilities in leading software product testing, ideally for products that integrate software and hardware. Proven ability to drive QA success via integrated cross-functional teams involving deep collaboration with technical/software team and design. Work Requirements: Location : Basingstoke.
