Solar Field Service Engineer

to join their growing operations and maintenance team in East Anglia and the surrounding areas. The strategically important Solar Field Service Technician role comes with a basic salary up to £42,000 (higher for HVAPs), on call rota enhanced pay (1 weekend in 5), own van and fuel cards, private health insurance, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and more. Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Area Supervisor you will: Take primary responsibility for solar plant performance, optimisation of the site and for maintaining equipment availability. Perform pre-planned and reactive maintenance works across their solar farms, including electrical maintenance, solar panel cleaning and HV maintenance (if HV qualified). Effectively help to resolve work tickets and report issues back to your line manager, compiling reports of completed works. Liaise with internal and external teams, including in-house LV/HV personnel, the grounds team and external subcontractors when required. Provide mentoring and training to junior technicians where required. Take part in the company's on-call rota for non-working hours (including Bank Holidays and weekends) - 1 weekend in every 5 for this region (on call allowances). Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following: Experience in industrial or utility scale solar is preferred. However, if no solar experience then an industrial electrician background is of interest. A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Engineering, Installation, Testing & Inspection or similar, electrical course. 18th edition wiring regulations. High Voltage Authorisation would be advantageous but not essential. A full UK driving licence is essential due to the remote nature of the sites. Personal Skills
