Our client is seeking a key hire, a Project Manager, to be accountable for the planning and successful delivery of solar PV and battery solutions to our industrial and commercial customers. This role is essential in ensuring high quality, safe delivery to customers and setting up our renewable systems correctly from the start.

Reporting into the Operations Director, the Solar Project Manager will be accountable for taking multiple projects from customer agreement through to successful commissioning. Work closely with sales, logistics, 3rd party installers and customers to create successful renewable projects that meet all quality, safety and regulatory standards. As a dynamic start-up this role would suit someone enthusiastic to come in and shape this role, ways of working and be a vital part in the company as we scale and deliver renewable energy for our customers.

The Role We offer industrial & commercial customers fully funded solar PV & battery solutions, entering into power purchase agreements with customers to provide them greener and cheaper electricity.

The successful applicant will lead the delivery and fulfilment of these projects, accountable from post signed contract through to successful commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a background in solar PV and battery projects.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: London based / hybrid (with days each week in London). Role will require occasional travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities Managing the end-to-end project fulfilment, planning installation dates, installation partners, ensuring equipment availability and delivery to achieve successful delivery. Create and foster relationships with subcontractors and internal colleagues to effectively manage and supervise projects successfully. Liaising with customers as required to ensure they are kept up to date on progress and project delivery is kept on track. Attend customer and supplier progress meetings and reviews. Co-ordinate all elements of the project; requirements, logistics, installers, commissioning and customer to deliver outcomes. Ensuring project fulfilment is delivered in line with contractual requirements, budgets, agreed timelines, specifications and company & customer procedures. Accountable to ensure health and safety standards are being met and project delivery is safe and high quality. Ensure all projects are successfully commissioned and remote monitoring is working correctly before handing over to the colleagues. Maintain overview of full project portfolio. Build and communicate contractual frameworks, operating procedures and governance to 3rd party installers and ensure their adherence (including completion on site and disposal arrangements). Key Requirements Candidates should ideally possess the following skills and qualifications:

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field. Experience:

2+ years in commercial and industrial project delivery, ideally in solar and battery but as a minimum in electrical installations, projects ranging from £150k to £2m+. Technical Proficiency:

Strong understanding of electrical project delivery and be able to demonstrate knowledge of project management tools and principles. Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical information to customers and peers. Technology Skills:

Highly computer literate and comfortable working with MS Project, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Problem solver, logical thinker and able to focus on the detail across multiple projects. Flexible and adaptable, highly organised and able to work autonomously. Good experience of managing outsources partners and contractors including adherence with safety and quality. Experience of managing solar PV and battery project delivery would be a distinct advantage, as would a formal project management qualification.
