The Bi-Borough Legal Services Department at Westminster City Council is dedicated to transforming lives through projects aimed at improving the community. Your main role will be to provide professional, procedural and technical legal advice on the local authority’s duty to children. You’ll undertake child care legal cases and assist more experienced Solicitors on high profile, politically sensitive and financially weighted cases. You’ll be committed to delivering a cost effective, client focused service, all within a culture of continuous improvement. A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx with demonstrable knowledge of childcare law and related legislation and case law, you’ll have experience dealing with and advising on local authority’s duties and powers in relation to children and young adults. With a broad knowledge of Local Government law, or a willingness to learn, you’ll be committed to your continuous professional and personal development. On a personal level, you’ll be a natural communicator with excellent negotiating and influencing skills. You’ll be diplomatic, enterprising and detail focused, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. What We Offer:
