The successful candidate will provide crucial and dynamic legal advice in support of our broad range of cladding and construction projects across the UK. You will help ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations and mitigate legal risks. It is critical that, as a senior advisor within the TW group, you are a team-player, accountable, personable, and willing to go the extra mile when required to help deliver our goals. This is a non-contentious role but the successful candidate will support the Taylor Wimpey cladding team and business units with regard to potential recovery actions and construction-related disputes by the procurement of expert external legal advice via the Taylor Wimpey legal panel firms. Key Responsibilities:

Legal Compliance:

Supporting our business in relation to its construction activities to deliver key projects in a timely and compliant manner. Ensuring that our cladding remediation activities comply with current laws, regulations, self-remediation terms, and industry standards. Contract Management:

Liaise with internal teams, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure legal and safety standards are met. Cladding Recovery:

Assist the cladding team by procuring timely and concise external legal advice to support potential recovery actions in relation to cladding remediation costs, working towards effective and efficient resolutions. Advisory Role:

Provide construction and building safety legal advice and support to business units, functions, and the cladding team, ensuring all activities are legally sound and compliant. Key Relationships:

UK Legal Director, Group Cladding and Technical Teams, Group General Counsel, Commercial and Operations Solicitor, Dispute Resolution Solicitor, External Panel Firm Lawyers, Business Unit Directors, Heads of Group Functions. Regional Variances:

The role will be based at their local TW BU Office 3 days a week with 2 days a week remote. The Group Legal team is based around England and is agnostic as to location provided the in-person commitment 3 days a week is delivered. Become the key point of contact for external legal advisors, the TW Cladding and Technical team, and wider business units and functions concerning cladding, construction, and building safety matters. Successful and positive relationships with key stakeholders across the TW Group, pro-actively driving improvements and change where necessary.
