Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail oriented In house Solicitor to act as a Conduct Counsel to join their Professional Standards Department (PSD). This is a critical role which will provide essential legal support to their Investigations Department and core committees, ensuring the highest standards of disciplinary and regulatory case management. Key Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive legal advice and support to the internal Investigation Case Managers across various complaint tracks and regulatory casework - Prepare and professionally present cases to Professional Conduct Department (PCD) committees and tribunals - Take personal responsibility for case progression and management - Offer expert advice and support to colleagues across the Business - Manage a personal caseload with a focus on timeliness, accuracy, and professional excellence - Adapt to evolving business needs and adjust duties accordingly Required Qualifications and Skills - Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with at least 2 years PQE - Strong demonstrated background within Civil Litigation and or Criminal Law - An extensive background within overseeing Legal Proceedings and its processes - A strong understanding of regulatory frameworks - Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and manage complex caseloads - Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional standards - Experience in disciplinary or regulatory inhouse legal/counsel environments would be preferred - Higher Rights of Audience and/or Advocacy Skills will be a strong advantage Personal Attributes - Proactive and solution-oriented approach - High level of professional integrity - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Resilient and capable of handling complex and sensitive cases What is on Offer - Opportunity to contribute to maintaining professional standards in a Professional Services Industry - Challenging and meaningful work - Excellent Benefits including 3 days WFH, flexible working and BUPA/PMI - Professional development opportunities with an emphasis on Up-skilling all employees - Supportive and collaborative work environment - This role offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial part in upholding the professional standards within the Professional Services, ensuring public confidence in the regulatory profession. -
