Mtrec's new opportunity: Our client is a well-established business, with almost 100 years in industry, and are now one of the largest organisations of their kind in the north of England. The company is now seeking to recruit a permanent solicitor to support one of their core teams in the Cumbria area. Depending on your preferences and skillset, you will have the opportunity to work in M&A, Corporate Law, Residential conveyancing or Wills, trust and probate. Apply now for an immediate response! The Job you will do: In this exciting role, you will be involved in a broad range of corporate work, but will have an opportunity to focus on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, buy-ins and buyouts, joint ventures and investments, shareholders' agreements and general corporate governance advice. Alternatively, your role may involve working in Wills, trusts and probate, or undertaking a range of residential conveyancing work. About you: The successful candidates will ideally have a minimum of 5 years PQE (although we would consider less PQE for the right candidates) and have experience of dealing either M&A or Wills, trusts and Probate, or Residential Conveyance. The successful candidates will have a proactive, 'can-do' attitude to enable them to work closely with a team of legal fee-earners, paralegals and legal assistants on all aspects of this work and may have a fee earning target themselves. The ability to work as part of a team is therefore essential together with excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
