Do you have a proven background using SolidWorks? Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer keen to support solutions within the manufacturing sector? If so, the following permanent role could be for you…. My client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made steel door solutions in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area. They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join them ASAP on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes. You will design, implement, and refine production methods for the product portfolio, optimizing workflow and minimising waste while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role serves as an exciting bridge between design, production, and maintenance teams, ensuring that products are manufactured effectively, cost-efficiently, and to specification. Additionally, you will drive innovation and process improvements to support the company's commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for:

Developing, implementing, and optimising manufacturing processes for steel doorsets. Evaluating and improving production workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborating with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality of products. Monitoring and maintaining production equipment to ensure peak performance and minimise downtime. Supporting the introduction of new products and technologies into the manufacturing process. Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for production issues. Preparing and maintaining documentation, including work instructions, process maps, and equipment manuals. Promoting and enforcing health and safety standards within the production environment. Leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects. You will have:

SolidWorks experience. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control. A good understanding of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production (highly desirable). Sheet metal punch/fold machine experience (highly desirable). The package:
